Rhinoplastry or nose-job or plastic surgery of nose what to expect?

Nose is very dominant part of face and it has great impact on how a person looks. Rhinoplasty is one of the commonest cosmetic operations performed.

Sometimes person has deviated nasel septum with nasal-blockage and breathing difficulty, which is to be corrected with rhinoplasty (septo-rhinoplasty).

Mostly incisions are made inside the nose or area separating the nostrils. After surgery a plaster cast is applied to the nose to protect it, for 7-10 days. On second day of surgery there may be some bruising and swelling around eyes which eventually subsides in few days time. A little bleeding from nose is common for few days.

Rhinoplasty is an extremely challenging operation thus extensive surgical  experience and skill is necessary along with realistic expectation.

For good results and post operative satisfaction it is very important for the doctor to understand individual characteristic features. A good doctor patient understanding and communication is critical for success.
